Hyperglycemia
Definition:
Condition in which the plasma glucose concentration is abnormally high. In general, a fasting plasma glucose concentration higher than 110 mg/dL, or a postprandial plasma glucose concentration higher than 180 mg/dL is considered abnormally high.Normal, fasting glucose concentrations range from 70 to 110 mg/dL.
