Solution Mixtures Calculator - Molarity, Percent (%)
Meant to be used in both the teaching and research laboratory, this calculator (see below) can be utilized to perform calculations for
solution mixtures (e.g., mixing two solutions) when working with
molar or
percent (%) solutions. See our

Solution mixtures calculator - molarity, percent (%)
The calculator below may be used when mixing two solutions, with molarity or percent (%) used for the concentration of the solutions. To use the calculator, enter appropriate values in all cells except the two cells you wish to calculate. For example, enter concentration and volume values for solution 1 and solution 2, and leave the concentration and volume for the solution mixture blank. Therefore, at least four cells must have values, and no more than two cells may be blank. The value of each blank cell will be calculated based on the other values entered. After a calculation is performed, the calculated cell will be highlighted and subsequent calculations will calculate the value of the highlighted cell (with no requirement to have a blank cell). However, a blank cell has priority over a highlighted cell.
As noted above, at least two parameters must be left blank. Additionally, it is important to note that no two concentrations can be calculated at the same time. Therefore, the following calculation combinations are not allowed: (Concentration 1 and Concentration 2), (Concentration 1 and Mixture Concentration), and (Concentration 2 and Mixture Concentration). All other calculation combinations are allowed.
For convenience, this calculator allows you to select different volume and concentration units, and the necessary conversions are carried out for you to obtain the value of the blank cell in the desired unit.
