Be present, walk around, greet people, and chat with people. Regularly engage with members of your organization and demonstrate that you are present, interested in interacting with them, and that you care about all individuals within the organization. Don't wait for a reason to leave your office to walk around the floor, building, campus, etc. As you walk around and run into people, strike an informal conversation to learn more about members of your team, but never give the impression that you are checking up on them.
