Leadership / Management Tip
Be thoughtful and intentional about everything you say and do.

As a leader, your every move and action, written and spoken word, facial expression, hand and body gesture will be noticed and studied by others. Depending on the circumstance, you will be admired, criticized, adored, reviled, envied, dismissed, and/or emulated. Be thoughtful and intentional about everything you say and do. Your words and actions will be noted and studied by others, and will set the tone for how others in your organization speak and act. People will use your words and actions not only to advance the vision, mission, and goals of the organization, but also to advance their own immediate and long-term goals. Therefore, be planful about the verbal and visual impressions you convey to others. Your words and actions should be chosen to inspire your team members to collaborate and do the best work they can do to advance the vision and mission of your organization.
