A true leader shows up every day, brings their best to the work, and works hard to bring the best out of everyone with whom they work. Solving the complex problems of today requires collective and diverse minds, perspectives, knowledge, skills, and experiences. Limiting the value brought to the task at hand to only those possessed by whom you like is a disservice to your leadership role and your organization. It is very easy to work effectively with people you like. An effective leader has the ability to work collaboratively and productively with all individuals. Focus on the issue at hand and make sure your decisions are not influenced by your affection for or dislike of certain individuals.
