PhysiologyWeb (i.e., Physiology on the Web) was created by a group of physiologists with the goal of providing physiology content on the web that is accurate, up-do-date, and free of charge. The PhysiologyWeb team is composed of several physiologists who are passionate about the science of physiology and, in addition, are active practitioners of the discipline by teaching physiology at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as by actively pursuing a broad array of research topics within the field of physiology. All team members actively contribute to all aspects of this project.
The mission of PhysiologyWeb is:
- To provide physiology content in an interesting, non-intimidating, and yet scientifically rigorous fashion to physiology students and others interested in learning about the science of physiology.
- To provide accurate and up-to-date physiology content at a level that is appropriate for undergraduate students of physiology.
- To increase the visibility of the discipline of physiology by highlighting the relevance of physiology to everyday life.
